The agreement
These terms are between you and PingCrood, operated by Fawad Iqbal ("PingCrood", "we"). They cover the PingCrood Android app, PingCrood Web and this site (together, "PingCrood"). By creating an account or using PingCrood you agree to these terms, to the Community Guidelines, and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use PingCrood.
Who can use PingCrood
- You must be 18 or older. You confirm this with your birth date when you set up your profile; giving a false one is a breach of these terms and gets the account removed.
- One account per person, with a real email address you control.
- You're responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your password to yourself, turn on two-step verification if you can, and sign out devices you don't recognise. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
Your account
You choose a username and display name; don't pick one that impersonates someone or breaks the guidelines. You can change your email and password, and delete your account, from the app at any time. Deleting starts a 14-day grace period — sign in to undo it — after which your personal data is permanently removed as described in the Privacy Policy.
Accounts that stay unverified for 7 days are removed.
Acceptable use
The Community Guidelines are part of these terms. In short: no nudity or sexual content, no harassment or hate, no spam or scams, nobody under 18, no violence or threats, no impersonation, and no recording or sharing other people's content or details without permission. In addition, don't:
- use PingCrood for anything illegal where you or the person you're talking to live;
- send automated messages, scrape, or access PingCrood by any means other than the app and PingCrood Web;
- try to get around a block, a suspension or an age check, or interfere with how PingCrood works or with other people's use of it;
- upload anything that infringes someone else's rights.
Random Match
Random Match connects you by live video with people you don't know. You may see or hear things you don't like; you can press Next person at any moment, and the Safety button lets you report or block and ends the call. Your camera stays off until you press Start. Each match is recorded — who, when, how long, how it ended — so that reports can be acted on and blocked people are never paired again. Recording or streaming a match without the other person's clear consent is prohibited.
Your content
What you send and post is yours. So that PingCrood can work, you give us permission to store, transmit and display your content to the people you send it to — and nothing more. You're responsible for what you share and for having the right to share it. We may remove content or restrict features when something breaks these terms or the guidelines, and we keep a snapshot of reported content for 30 days so reports can be judged fairly.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains what PingCrood stores, why, and for how long. It's part of these terms. One thing worth repeating: messages are encrypted in transit and stored on our servers so they can be delivered; they are not end-to-end encrypted.
The service
PingCrood is provided free of charge. We're a small team and PingCrood is young: features will change, some may be added or removed, and there will be maintenance windows and, occasionally, bugs. We'll do our best to warn you about anything disruptive. We may suspend or end the service, or your access to it, where these terms require it or where the law does.
Enforcement
If something breaks these terms or the guidelines we act in proportion: a warning, removal of the content, a temporary suspension or a permanent one. A suspended account is signed out everywhere and cannot sign in. If you think we've made a mistake, write to contact@fawadiqbal.dev from the email on your account and we'll look again.
Disclaimers and liability
PingCrood is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't control, and aren't responsible for, what other people say or do on PingCrood — including in Random Match — though we'll act on reports as these terms describe. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PingCrood and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of PingCrood, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the service, which for a free service is zero. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and any dispute will be handled by the courts there, unless the consumer-protection laws where you live give you additional rights — in which case you keep them.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. For anything material we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use PingCrood after that means you accept the new terms; if you don't, you can delete your account.
