Community guidelines

PingCrood works because people show up as themselves and treat each other well. This page says what that means in practice — and what happens when someone doesn't.

The short version

Be yourself. Be kind. Ask before you assume. And when someone says no — with words, with a block, or by pressing Next person — that's the end of it.

Everything below is those four sentences in more detail. They apply everywhere on PingCrood: in chats and groups, on calls, in your status, on your profile, and in Random Match.

What's not allowed

These are the reasons you can pick when you report someone, and they're the lines we act on.

  • Nudity and sexual contentNo nudity, sexual acts or sexual requests — on camera, in photos, in messages or in your status. Random Match is a video call with a stranger: keep it dressed.
  • Harassment and hateNo insults, threats, slurs or targeting someone for who they are. If a person has stopped replying, blocked you or pressed Next, don't find another way to reach them.
  • Spam and scamsNo unsolicited promotion, repeated identical messages, fake giveaways, money requests or links designed to trick people. One account per person.
  • Under 18PingCrood is for adults only. Accounts belonging to anyone under 18 are removed, and adults who pursue minors are banned and, where the law requires, reported.
  • Violence and threatsNo threats of harm, no glorifying violence, no content that shows or promotes it.
  • Impersonation and privacyDon't pretend to be someone else. Don't record, screenshot or share someone's video, photos, voice notes or personal details without their permission. No doxxing.

Anything illegal where you or the other person live is against these guidelines too, whether or not it's listed here.

On Random Match

  • Show your face. That's the deal you're making with the person on the other side. Pointing the camera at the ceiling, a wall or somewhere it shouldn't go is a fast way to get skipped — and reported.
  • Nobody owes you a conversation. Next person is not an insult. Use it freely and accept it gracefully; nobody is told why.
  • Keep personal details for later. Don't ask for phone numbers, addresses, social handles or money in a first conversation, and don't press when someone declines. If it clicks, send a friend request and carry on in Chats.
  • Don't record. Recording or streaming a match without the other person's clear consent is a privacy violation.
  • Use the Safety button. It's on every call. Report with a reason or block — the call ends, and that person will never be matched with you again.

In chats and groups

  • Add people who want to be added. Everyone can choose who is allowed to add them to groups. If someone leaves, don't add them back.
  • Respect view-once and disappearing messages. If someone sent something to vanish, don't photograph the screen or forward it on.
  • Private stays private. Photos, voice notes and live locations shared with you are for you. Forwarding them to people they weren't meant for breaks trust — and these guidelines.
  • Invite links are invitations. Share a group's link with people who belong there, not on public pages.

Reporting, and what happens next

You can report a person, a message, a status or a call from where you see it, and a Random Match from the Safety button. Pick a reason; add a note if it helps.

  1. Your report goes to a review queue read by PingCrood's admins. It keeps a snapshot of what you reported so it can be judged fairly, and that evidence is deleted automatically after 30 days.
  2. We act in proportion. Depending on what happened: a warning, removal of the content, a temporary suspension, or a permanent one. A suspended account is signed out everywhere and cannot sign back in.
  3. The other person isn't told who reported them.
  4. If you think we got it wrong, write to contact@fawadiqbal.dev from the email on your account and we'll look again.

Blocking is separate from reporting and always available: a person you block can't find you, message you, call you or add you to groups — and is never matched with you.

Looking after yourself

  • Set who can see your last seen, photo, about and status — Everyone, My contacts or Nobody — in Privacy settings, and switch read receipts off if you prefer.
  • Share live location only with people you trust, and only for as long as you need.
  • Turn on two-step verification and keep your recovery codes somewhere safe.
  • Check Active sessions and Linked devices now and then, and sign out anything you don't recognise.
If you're in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Then report the account so it can't reach anyone else.

Changes to these guidelines

We'll update this page as PingCrood grows, and note the date at the top. The Terms of Service make these guidelines part of the rules you agree to when you create an account.
